Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect what we need to sign you in and make the app work — nothing for marketing.

We do not use your information for marketing or advertising. Classify shows no ads, contains no advertising SDKs, and does not use an advertising identifier. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with data brokers. Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt does not appear in Classify because there is no tracking to ask about.
What we collect, and why
Every item below exists to make a feature work. If a field is optional, leaving it blank does not prevent you from using the app.

Where your data lives
Your account and content are stored in Apple iCloud (CloudKit), inside the app's own iCloud container. Public listings live in the public database so other people can browse them; your private records live in your own iCloud account, where they are governed by Apple's privacy policy as well as this one. Some listing imagery is served from our object storage so it loads quickly.
Sign in with Apple
Classify authenticates with Sign in with Apple. If you use Apple's Hide My Email option, we only ever receive the relay address — we never see your real email address. We use the identifier Apple gives us to recognise you when you come back, and for nothing else.
What we never do
- No advertising, ad networks, or advertising identifiers (IDFA).
- No tracking of you across other companies' apps or websites.
- No selling or renting of your personal information.
- No marketing email unless you explicitly ask us to contact you.
- No requirement to give us information a feature does not actually need.
Your choices and controls
- Optional fields stay optional. You can skip or dismiss profile details and still browse, search, save, and post.
- Location is permission-based. Decline it and the app still works; you can set an area manually instead, and you can change or revoke it any time in iOS Settings.
- Delete your account. Settings → Delete Account removes your profile and the content you created. Deletion is permanent.
- Ask us anything. Email support@classify.app to request a copy of your data or to have it removed.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and the listings you created are removed. Backups and logs age out on their normal cycle.
Children
Classify is a general marketplace and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
